Realizing the increasing importance of Pharmacy, Krishna University on its inceptional year i.e. 2008 started M.Sc., Pharmaceutical Chemistry as a Regular Course. Later by considering the importance of Post Graduation in Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy in the specialization of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with twelve intakes has started in the year 2009 and M. Pharmacy in the specialization of Pharmaceutical Analysis with eight intakes was started in the year 2010. Since the introduction of said courses many of our alumni students are well settled in Industry, Academia and Research. Some of our Alumni are practicising as Registered Pharmacists in European countries like Canada, England and middle east countries like Dubai. As the said department is having MOUs with several Pharmaceutical industries, like Larus Labs, most of the students who are joined in the said courses are easily absorbed in to the Pharmaceutical Industry. Department of Pharmacy is also offering Ph.D in the Pharmaceutical Sciences from the year 2010, since then approximately eighty students are enrolled for their Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Ten members are already awarded with their Ph.D. With the untiring efforts of Present Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.B. Chandra Sekhar, a separate Pharmacy College was sanctioned in the recently held executive council meeting with a sanctioned amount of Rs.6 cores for the construction of Building with necessary infrastructure. University administration is taking all the measures for staring B. Pharmacy course in the University Campus College, Rudravaram from this academic year (2020-21) onwards.
